It was close enough to my birthday that the hubs gave his blessing if I could find at least two people to split gas with so I suckered my sister-in-law and friend, Aerin, (yes the Aerin that Aunt Aerin in Waiting on Justin was named after) into coming along and the plan was on. In addition to the concert we were going to see the Redwood forest and drive my car through a tree! We were going to put our feet in the ocean and see the Golden Gate Bridge. I wanted to make a pit stop along the way and visit Martin, an old student who lives down that way, and we were going to stay with my cousin near Sacramento, whom I never get to see, and visit old friends in Portland on the way back.
The catch? We only had three and a half days to cram it all in.
At the last minute we had a welcome add-on in a lovely young lady named Danielle and sadly my sister-in-law had to cancel. We missed some things and spontaneously added others and I for one had an amazingly fun time. If you ever have the chance to drive down Hwy 101 in California you simply must! It is beautiful! Oh and Mr. Luke Bryan, who was touring with Lee Brice and stole the show is not to be missed either. Enjoy.
